Born in 1897 at Woodford, son of William (Epping Forest Keeper) and Fanny Palmby. 1901: With his family at 6, Selbourne Terrace, Peel Road South Woodford. 1911: A Drapers Errand Boy (name Aug. Warne appears with the entry, but Warnes was an Outfitters). Still with his family at 6, Selbourne Terrace, Peel Road, South Woodford.

He was serving as a Sick Berth Attendant when he became unwell, and died from illness at H.M.S. Pembroke, which was the Naval Base at Chatham in Kent.
