Additional Information:

Born in 1898 at Leyton, son of George (Surveyor) and Jessie Quellhorst. 1901: With his family at 313 Monega Road Leyton. 1911: A Scholar living with his widowed Mother and family at 21 Hermon Hill South Woodford. He was a former church scout troop leader at St Mary’s South Woodford.

He enlisted at Snaresbrook, joined the Expeditionary Force in France on 18-03-15, and was Killed in Action during the first day of the Battle of Loos in Picardy.

23-01-16: Donald MacLean MP unveiled a memorial window during the 11am service at St Mary’s, and a collection was taken to provide x-ray equipment for Highams Military Hospital.
